    Going though stuff from last year and have yet to figure out what I never did anything with this image, not like I get close to these guys often (never). HA is a bit off and I just noticed some dark areas across the top that should go.

    Beautiful bird Nonda! Sharp and whites well handled. Got lots of feather detail. Would maybe lighten the eye a bit? VWD

    Well composed and executed Nonda...I like the sharp details and good color rendition...my only suggestion would be to lighten the eye just a tad and selective sharpen it...congrats...I like it...:cool:

    Lovely Nonda, I would sharpen the eye even a bit more (and the area around it a bit). Lovely comp and colours.

    Nonda, nice image! Never underestimate a good catch light, though. I went in and blew the bird up (not literally!) and saw where the lighter gray area was on the eye. I used a very small clone stamp set at the white snow area and then stamped over the lighter gray area of the eye, bringing a bit of catch light to give her more life.

    Brings it to life with the catchlight, very nice small touch.

    Thanks Julie, usually do that, and blowing them up to see where it actually is does keep it natural. Just din't think about it with this image, will add before I put it up on my website.

    Hi Nonda;

    That is one fine photo of a Female Northern Cardinal, and portrays it beautifully. Glint puts it over the top after your fine presentation of color and exquisite feather detail.

    Best Northern Cardinal female photo I can remember seeing.

    Thanks for sharing

    Thanks and thanks...Working on a fairly large project right now so miss stuff I shouldn't 'glint' on non-project images.
