    Default Hawk owl- better angle

Found an image similar to one posted, but I was a bit further away with a better bird angle, de-saturated the end of the perch, and left the eyes as taken-deselecting for adjustments to curves and saturation to maintain reality. I hope this one is improved but honest comments appreciated. Canon 40D-500mm f4 and 1.4x, ISO 400.

    Hi Jeff,

I definitely like the perch and how you got it coming out of the corner. Owl looks mesmerizing with that stare. He looks nicely positioned, good exposure and I like the blue BG. You could try some crop off the top.

I like this one better, too. Great exposure control, details and stare.

Definitely an improvement - that perch looks lovely now and doesn't draw the eye away from that lovely stare. Good job, Jeff
