Taken yesterday afternoon after a morning of light snow, one of the female cardinals that frequents my feeders came in close enough to the deck that I managed to capture her beauty. This image was made through the pane glass door leading out to my back deck. Tricks to making this kind of image work is to have the lens up close to the glass frame to eliminate shadows and to have very clean glass! It also takes a bit of tweaking in pp of either levels or exposure to get the glare look from the glass to go away.

Hi Julie,
I like the composition and capture...it looks very good for taking it behind a glass surface with out the use of a polarizing filter...sun light was illuminating it from the side that why the shadow is prominant....my suggestion would be to open up the mid-tones and dodge lightly where the shadows are...well done...good show...:)
