    shot this pic from side of road,out of car window,up onlancashire moors,its also called lapwing,and locally called peewit,because of the sound it makes.cannon40d,400mm prime lens,f5.6, 1/2000 sec.iso400.

    Overall very nice. I would darken the pupil to make it black (instead of the bluish tone it currently has). Nice habitat, I like all the grasses surrounding your subject but I would crop some from bottom. With our current deep-freeze here, this image has a good summer feel to it :-)

    Beautiful bird, good eye contact and details. I like Daniel's suggestion regarding the eye and would also crop a bit off the bottom.

    Lovly pose and habitat - agree re cropping but being a fan of tightish crops I would probably remove a little from top , bottom and left:)
