    This is an image of a black-necked stork, male created at the Bharatpur bird sanctuary in india.
    Canon 1DIII with a EF 500mm f4 +2xTC

    Hi Gautam,

    This is an interesting bird I have only seen in photographs. It is often difficult to photograph black and white birds like this one. This image has a few problems. The birds head gets sort of lost against the dark bg, and the brush behind the bird is a bit distracting. I would also suggest cropping a bit from the bottom. If you wish to improve it, it may be worthwhile to spend some time selectively using the sh tool to bring out some detail in the darker areas of the bird.

    Very striking bird and nice pose. I agree with Jim about the cropping as well as his other suggestions. Thanks for sharing.

    Beautiful bird and interesting pose. In addition to the suggestions I wish for more head turn toward you or you could have moved to the right.
