Today is my 49th birthday. I have one year until the AARP card shows up in my mailbox and people start asking me if I have my senior citizen discount card with me. I can't understand how all this happened...I was just 24 the other day!

I took the day off from work and have spent it watching the birds eat at my feeders and snapping a few photos along the way. This one seemed to sum up my feelings about turning 49...I fully expect it to be one of the best years of my life - I'm ready for take off and nothing's gonna hold me down.

At least until next year when that AARP cards shows up...:o:eek:

Thanks Denise and Axel. Harold, I'm with you. I refuse to act old even though a lot of the time I sure do feel it!

Julie, I remember going to my Dad's 50th it seems like yesterday. So how did I turn 57 in such a short time. Life is grand, take full advantage of everyday. The bird is right, keep on soaring!! I know it is a cliche, but it's true, "You're not getting older, you're getting better" Here's a toast to you, Cheers!!!!!!!

Belated happy birthday, Julie! You're still a youngster at 50 these days!! Anyway, with few exceptions, life gets even better after 50, so don't cringe!!
