    Default Northern Harrier

    This northern harrier has claimed the fencepost as her own--she is there almost all the time.
    It was a foggy overcast day.
    50D
    300/2.8 IS + 2X TC
    1/640s f/5.6 at 600.0mm iso1600

    Nice of her to perch conviniently for you! Good look-back pose. Not the best perch. I would try warming the colour temp a few degrees, and lighten the iris just a tad. Looks like sharpness has been compromised during resizing? Even your signature seems soft so I can imagine the image also suffered from this.

    I like the lookback pose and BG and agree regarding perch and sharpening.

    Thanks for your comments Daniel and Axel--I reworked the image. Hopefully better and retaining more details.
