Mountain Zebra are very rare, their numbers are in the few hundred. They are unique to the mountainous areas of the Karoo in South Africa. These zebra differ from the plains or Burchell’s zebra, by having narrower stripes, absence of shadow stripes and an orange facial colouration.

d3 600mm lens, wimberly and car bracket. minor crop , levels, saturation , and 2x smart sharpening.

Nice image of a species I hadn't seen before. I think the image would be a little stronger if there was more separation between the foreground zebra and the slightly OOF guy in the background. Having them both looking towards the camera is a plus here.

Nice juxtaposition image Peter and Rich mentioned the separation. I like the look of the grass and soft blue sky really set them out from the environment. Head turns both at you really add to the image.

Nice image of a good looking animal. Wish I could see the front legs of the rear zebra but I like the mirrored pose.
