Well im getting there slowly , think this is my best Snowy so far but its a composite . The inflight was added , they are of the same bird but a few frames apart.

    D80 70-300mm at 300mm = 450mm 1/2000 sec F7.1 ISO 400

    CC is always welcome :)

Hi Glenn - I quite like this - snowy on one post and the rock on the other gives it some sort of balance. Onmy screen your whites look like they are borderline hot - could just be my screen. I am not sure about the inflight bird - as it is flying away from you and head/eye is not at all visible - just my two cents :)

    Great looking bird.

Hi Glenn, snowies have not shown up here yet, and may not. Interesting photo, nice colours and sharp details. Not sure if there is a blue colour cast or not. You must have been nice and close. Too bad the bif was not coming at you. Would have been great. Boy the bif has really nice details. Looking forward to the next one. Dave

Glenn, I'd be thrilled to death if this were mine! Great job on the sharpness- The overall image has a nice scene-I like the soft blue sky and the fence w/ posts and berries, snow adds to the scene as well. It would be a 10 if the BIF were coming at you but it is still a very nice shot!

glenn, is there anymore room to the left you can add? i'd remove the bird flying away and move the bird on the post closer to a ROT line. awesome capture! i like how the fence is diagonal in the frame.

    Hi Glenn,
A very nice capture indeed. The baby blue sky adds to the beauty of the composition...I agree with Doctor Davis on the removal of the Owl thats flying away, adding more canvas to the left, and cloning out the rock on top of the post to the right...looking forward to your next one...
