For this image I switched from f 5.6 to f 10 as the action of mating was over and the two of them just posed.
I wanted to make sure they were both in focus. There seems to be a magenta cast to all of these images and it gets more pronounced when uploaded to BPN. Color-balance + green doesn't take it out without drastically changing the sky color to green.

Before we go off on this one, I thought I'd give it another try.....still has a magenta cast.

    HI
I initially thought the branch sticking out to the rear of the pair looked odd for a tail. :) Silly me, perhaps I would clone that. If possible a little more separation between the two would look fabulous, but it is stil a wonderful image. I don't remember seeing any of the mating act. Did you post? :)

Wonderful timing and great capture Susan. This would be very nice as a vertical as well. Thanks for sharing.

Great capture and agree on a slight magenta cast, I would also sharpen the birds a bit more.
