    This photo was taken in Katmai sept. 2008 brown bear aptats with Robert O'Tool.

    RAW
    I made the back ground darker and sharpened the head a little. like the wings position of the bird a lot and did this crop on purpose.

    Nice detail in the wings and for me it works well with the light patch surrounding the bird in the background. Almost has a supernatural feel to it. :)

    I like the setting and unusual lighting. I might sharpen the bird a bit more and wish the underside of the bird's left wing were better visible.

    I like this image...feels like a painting a little bit. I like the frozen motion and the "blue casted B&W look".

    A different perspective of the gull here - very much akin to a race horse/hound out of the gates! The low level makes it look "fast" as well. I like it especially the "dark" setting that gives it the mood.

    Lovely shot of the bird, - very nice detail, but sorry not keen on the crop.
