Default Puku foal hiding from predators.

We spotted this Puku foal trying to hide from a pride of Lions that were not too far away.
    Sth Luangwa NP- Zambia.
Whether to submit this as a central/landscape or vertical crop is always a difficult choice, I went with the central one to show more of the environment.

    C & C most welcome

    Cheers

You say "trying" to hide, did he make it? This would work as a vertical as well but the horizontal looks good to me too. I think keeping it as is better portrays the attempt at hiding because I find myself going from edge to edge looking to see what else is in that grass where a vertical crop would close him in.

    Hi Steve

The little foal did make it out OK, as the pride moved on unaware to it's presence.

    Cheers

Lucky fella, I sort of like the centered composition, great habitat and behavior portrayed.

I think Steve makes a good argument why the central position Puku works so well. The growth that he is in is also way cool.
