This is a composite image, captured the day Judy and I went with Dale to the wild horses. I was following these two running across the hill, and as luck would have it, the frame where he kicks was clipped. So I wanted to see if it could be recouped with the next frame, where the back horse was complete. Here are the results and the origianl. I'm not trying to fool anyone thous making full disclosure of what I did. Not good for contests, but I had fun reconstructing the crime :D
Fabs aspect ratio 3.35:2
D700 uncropped aspect ratio 3:2
IMO "Pano or Panoramic" has come to refer to any photograph that is cropped to a wide aspect ratio, rather than the original idea of an image thought to capture a field of view close to, or greater than, that of the human eye, about 160° by 75° or a ratio of 2.13:1
So I don't think it is a Pano at all.
I do agree it is very well done whether it is called a composite, stitch or overlay.
