Plenty of shorebirds to play with on my holidays - so thought Id practice my getting close technique - with patience you can get amazingly close. Also very quickly learnt hands must never touch the sand (Dont want sand all over the camera now - do we)
Wife thought it was hilarious - Camera and I commando style on the beach creeping up on these poor defenseless little birds - LOL

Light is not the greatest (little harsh)

Great low angle on this image, Lance! I also really like the raised foot, eye contact, and the blurred bg. On my monitor the whites look a little bright but I don't think over exposed. I think I would give more room for this sharp bird to walk into....

Well composed and executed Mr. Peters. I like the ultra low capture angle...The details are razor sharp and the color rendition is superb...The background compliments the subject very well. The raised foot is a plus. The head angle and sharp eye contact is on target. The whites are in range...good show...looking forward to your next one...

Love the low angle and details. Exposure looks good. You've managed to cope with the obviously harsh lighting very well.

    Cheers.

I agree with the others - the lighting is harsh but you certainly made the best of it. I really like the way your BG graduates from one end of the spectrum to the other.

It does feel a little tight in the frame - more room for him to walk into would have been nice but this is still definitely worth crawling in sand for!

Great low angle Lance Its fun sneaking up on the little guys.

Besides the extra room for the bird try crawling with softer light !!!! I like it !!!
