Aloha Folks: Expression ~ "Slightly excited"

Photo is Gina getting slightly excited when trying out an Ugly orange on the taigate of our Chevy truck with her older sister, Lee looking on. Story how it came about: When I retired to Hawaii on the Big Island in`86 I helped out a friend of mine who had just started the "Kona News", a bi-weekly newspaper by writing a column called "Outback, Big Island Style" by Uncle Gus http://unclegus.150m.com/Outback.htm which kept us out exploring the Island nearly every day. On one of these trips we found our secret "Ugly Orange" tree (A mishapen thick skinned orange that was sweeter than a Navel) . . . Ono (delicious)! deep in the forest of Wood Valley, one of the sites listed in above link. When Gina saw how many we picked she got a bit excited . . . to say the least :D Camped at Volcano National Park for a few days with a good supply of camel food (Takes that camel taste out of your mouth when you first wake up in the morning)

While in Hawaii I developed my famous Chocalate Nut Chip Cookie (1000's of hits) you can find the recipe here if you want to try it http://unclegus.150m.com/cookieman.htm

Photo was taken with a small Minolta Camera (film) and scanned. Specs long forgotten.

    Aloha nui loa
