    The junco is on a snow-covered log My angle of view enabled me to use the snow behind to create this pleasing BG. The dark object in his mouth is a sunflower seed taken from the other end of the log.

    Great angle, pose and eye contact. I might crop a bit off the top, sharpen the bird a tad more and clone out the twig. There is a slight green cast on my monitor.

    Very nice pose - agree re crop suggestion and blue/green colour cast. Catchlight suggests flash use which was a good option to thrown some light on the darks. I think this image could stand brightening a little to push the BG to a near pure white and then doge the darker area of snow in the bottom right. How does this quick version look to you?
