    Default Forsythe news

Forsythe NWR has broken ground on their new visitor center. It should be really nice, and much larger than the present one when complete. They are also constructing a new boardwalk eco trail into the marsh that should be complete by spring. Saturday 1/11/09 showed pintails, hooded mergansers, brant, and shovelers on the drive along with only a couple herons. A couple hawks were also sighted but not identified. Regards .......Dave

Thanks for the update, Dave. Any Short-eared Owls being seen there yet?
