    Default Hungry hawfinch

This hawfinch was feeding without any manners, cutting in two the fruits. It took me a while to compose the bird in the only dark place in BG ,because in Bulgaria the birds are very fearful, even the common.Just -15 C.Canon EOS 1D Mark2N + EF300 2,8 +1,4TC f4.No crop.Best regards.

Good pose and eye contact Piotr. The OOF branches are a bit distracting both in the FG and the BG. Sometimes it is just not possible to get a clear view but the color and detail are very nice in this image. Would it have been possible to move a bit more to the left? Many thanks for sharing.

I've never seen this bird before, Piotr, and he is a beauty! He's looking right at you. Agree with Judy about some of the OOF branches but the bird is so nicely posed and so pretty that they really don't bother me much. The one thing that most detracts, for me, is that very light area on the middle bottom of the frame. You could probably eliminate that if you do that sort of thing.

Excellent. I really think this shot would repay the time to clean up the background.

Not an easy bird to even get a view let alone photograph, like the head angle and nice detail on the feathers..
