Altlhough just a common Junco, I love the subtle shading of the feathers. Taken in our usual dim winter light on January 11, 2009 - Woodway, Washington Canon 40D 400mm 5.6L 1/400s ISO 1250 Eval metering, AI focus ec0
Stunning colors in this capture Terry. Love how the BG is so complimentary with the Junco. Well composed with excellent detail and color. Congrats on a lovely capture.
Cool looking Junco....definetly different than the ones which we have on the east coast. I do like the background and the perch and I enjoy the soft lighting. I would tone down the beak as it looks hot and lighten the blacks on the eyebrow area.
Thanks very much for your comments and critques, Judy Lynn and Jim. Jim, here is an edit with the beak darkened a bit and the eye area lightened. Terry
Good pose and detail in the original image, on my monitor, the face lookes a bit washed-out on the repost.
