From a week ago. Taken on one of the best winter afternoons of this winter so far. This one was very cooperative to sit on such a nice perch. Cleaned up a bit of the perch, with the patch tool, to get rid of some bird poop :D Otherwise the post processing was pretty straight forward; a bit of cropping, levels, curves, saturation.

Great low angle and well composed. Like the pose, eye contact and clean BG. Many thanks for sharing Krijn.

Love the image and the crop for the lighting, the surroundings and the birds posture.

The only two things I probably would have tried would be to tone down the brighter areas in the coverts a tad and perhaps bring up the shadows just a bit in the darker portion of the seaweed just ahead of the bird itself.

Overall, I would have been more than happy to have captured this :)

Great light, details and BG. I might try to clone out the seaweed touching the bird's chest.

Finally got one my friend! What a lovely day we had. I'm still surprised how different it looked from my angle. Will post one later. Cheers!
