While photographing Lesser Flamingos at Kamfers Dam, I noticed a group of Greater Flamingos interacting with one another in some sort of collective display. I waited for all the heads to be raised and then pressed the shutter button. On looking at the image afterwards, they reminded me of a flower arrangement:)

Nice title, and I like the colourful BG. Exposure and sharpness are both good. I know its hard to control the position of 5 birds, but I wish the bill of the far left bird was not glued to its neighbour's neckand too bad the far right bird didn't turn its head a wee bit towards us! Lots of personality in this image...I like it alot :-)

Very well composed Chris, terrific light and sharpness and I agree that this image it would be, even better with the five birds looking to the same direction. Outstanding image :)

    Hi Chris,
I agree with the others on the headturn, but it is still such a neat shot. Love the crop, BG colours and poses of the birds. I was wondering if you did some selective blurring of the BG as the edges of the birds seem to have a gaussian quality to them....just wondering. Thanks for sharing

Very cool poses and interaction. Makes you really wonder what was going on there. :)

Agree with the comments above, but I have loved it the minute I saw the thumbail :) Great comp, light, detail, BG, and colours! Congratualtions!
