Let me confess I am always envious of your mustang images. This one is terrific as well.

I love the perspective. Fabulous! How long did you lie down on your belly before they came close to you? Don't they resent such close proximity? Polariser?

    Cheers,

I didn't lie on my belly long before they came close.. I saw what direction they were feeding and just got in their path. Some are very curious. No polarizer for this image...

Most intersting perspective. I like the beautiful background and the different poses of the horses, some totally ignoring you, and the one on the right expressing curiosity. May I ask, not knowing anything about these creatures, is there much danger in this situation?

Here is a snapshot of Dale taken moments after his photo. Not great art, but I couldn't resist. This is an example of how curious these mustangs are in this extremely remote area.

Beautifully colored animals. The low perspective adds to the feeling of openess of their range.

Cool perspective Dale and good Out of the Box thinking. The only thing I wish had not occurred was the BG pony coincident with the lead horse's leg.

Now we are talking! What a great idea you had, not sure I'd be brave enough to try it though ;)

Thanks Mike for the image of Dale. It nicely sums up the event for us.

Great perspective, Dale. I find sitting or laying down often seems to put them at ease (I wonder if they sense you can't move suddenly if on the ground) and the curious ones will be more likely to approach. And it gives you a great perspective.
