    Question Flash brackets...RRS or Wimberley?

I was going with the Wimberely F-1 because I found one at auction, but I slightly underbid, and it went for almost what I can buy one new. So now I guess I will need to buy a new one unless I can find another at auction real soon. I've looked at the Kirk, but unless they have changed the design, it requires a tool for mounting. The Really Right Stuff B-series brackets look very cool, very functional and well-designed. However, the Wimberley might be better overall because of its portability and flexibility of height adjustment and configuration. Since I don't have access to either of these items for trial or examination, I would appreciate any feedback as to the pros/cons of these two flash brackets.

    Thanks,
    Ed

    Ed,

Much depends on the intended use. For macro the RRS is the way to go. For most birds the Wimberley will do.
