I went to Powell Garden today to walk through their fragrance garden. I'm not sure what type of flower this is but I think it looks like a little fairy holding a book.

    Hi Janet Neat looking orchid

Might brighten a bit as presented and could crop tighter but is just taste. With these you have choices regarding the point of focus and dof ... will change the image dramatically.

Normally I like the closest point in focus if going for shallow dof or just stop down and go for the max !!

    Hi Janet,
I like the base capture, on flowers like this one, you have the option of cropping in tight, or getting the entire flower in the frame..as is, it feels too tight and also some of the petals were clipped.. the image is a little under exposed and the saturation could use a little boost...looking forward to your next composition...

Good eye Janet! Does look like just like a fairy. A little dark, but probably easily fixed. Looking forward to more.

Janet, very pretty flower and I like how you have captured the sparkliy high lights. I like the suggestions about under exposed and needs brightening up a bit. Good One,
    Dave

Hi Janet, agree with the above and might also add a little sharpening. They are beautiful flowers, aren't they?
