    Default Flaps Down...

or Up in this case. This month's workshop to photograph the cranes against a full moon was complicated by 25-40 mph winds. With the wind, they were speeding bullets. Against the wind, these large birds often floated in place. Much fun to watch! Unfortunately, no moon in this shot taken in last light of the day.

I like the light, landing pose, details and setting and wish the bird had not passed you. Do you have some frames made earlier in this series? I would crop a bit off the top. The sky has a slight magenta cast on my monitor.

Great detail in the wing. The head seems a bit soft. Wonderful light.

    Hi David...

Position doesn't bother me as it shows the bird floating on the wind, although I agree with Axel that it may have been better coming in toward you.

Light on the bird is beautiful, but the sky seems a bit of too much blue for those lighting conditions at Bosque?

Also...seeing some weird horizontal banding (very faint) through the sky on both monitors which I have here at home?
