I hope everyone is not getting sick of the snowies, today was a better day. From this morning. Bait was being used, and the snowies were very hungry.

Cool pose, details and the stare makes it even better.

Love the wing position and the blue of the sky. Wish only that he were looking right at you instead of at the mouse. Where do you live and where was the image taken?

Thanks Artie, what struck me about this pose was the wing position too, can only get in a turn. I live just east of Ottawa, Ontario and this photo was taken in the farming community of Ste. Rose, about 60 km east of Ottawa. There are between 3 and 5 resident snowies here for the winter. I have some shots I'll put up in the coming days whrere she's looking right at me, but with more traditonal wing positioning.

I like the wing position too. I only wish the far eye was more visible. With the bird looking towards the left I wouldn't mind it placed further to the right (but not too close to edge). Just east of Ottawa, eh...we must be almost neighbours!!

All things having been said, I think the image does not need much change. I would like to say that the BG has an almost graduated look from dark blue to light blue at bottom. Very effective. Good image.
