A lovely day in Edinburgh. I like the overall composition but am wondering about the heavy mast on the left. I think the boat itself gives an anchor to the composition but is the mast too heavy? So far all I've done is minor cropping and saturation.

Hi Hazel You could have fooled me if you said it was South Florida !!! :)

Agree on the left boat, would try moving around and finding a different anchoring ( no pun intended :) ) point. The boat is cropped in an odd way and mast does look overwhelming. Do like the vantage point and mood. You might want to post at the max size for easier viewing !!!

    Hi Hazel,
I like the base capture...agree with the prominent mast on the left side of the frame...would like to see you post at a higher resolution...looking forward to your next one...

I am not sure due to the size of the image but it looks like it needs some CCW rotation.
Would be good to see a larger image.

    Hi Hazel
As I am from Musselburgh it looks to e very much like Fisherrow Harbour in Musselburgh !!!
40 years ago used to have a few fishing boats and before that lots of fishing boats.
We lived just up the road.
My preference was to take pictures from nearer the harbour entrance @ around 35mm focal length.
    Still great to see.

you may be right. I probably labeled it wrong.

I'm have a software problem that makes resizing difficult right now but I'll try a larger posting. hope to get the new software soon...changed from pc to a mac and am having to redo stuff. but hey, it's worth the change!
