Okay, so I'm a little bit behind, and it's quite winter right now (9" of snow in the last 1.5 days!). Holed up on the couch with some hot cocoa, I decided to render some older images in B&W. This was shot early December 2007.

    Nikon D80, Nikkor 105mm f/2.8, f/22, 1/2 sec, ISO 100

    (added 1-16)
GS conversion in LR & split toned (Highlight Hue 31, Sat 5, Shadow Hue 27, Tone 18, Balance -32)

Gorgeous! Am wondering about the top right corner, though...it being so much darker than the other three corners. Have you thought about doing a slight vignette around the image to even the corners out? Or perhaps selectively lightening just that corner?

What tone did you use to get this? It's almost got a purple cast to it and it's lovely!

    Hi Bruce,
I just love this! The only thing that I might be tempted to do would be to crop a little from the top. I love the crisp crunchy feel...
    Regards,
    Nicki

    Hello Bruce,
I agree with the others on the crispness of the shot. It really does project that cold wintery feeling. Very nice.
