    Welcome to BPN Michelle.

And what a wonderful first post it is. The angle of the bird is slightly unusual and all the better for that in my opinion. Eye, head and body are all nice and sharp with plenty of detail. I like seeing motion blurred wings in hummer photos. Exposure looks spot on to me and it doesn't look obviously flashed (to me at least). I might trim a touch off the bottom but just a touch. I do see some slight banding in the background which I guess may be an artifact from re-sizing?

Looking forward to the next one.

    Cheers.

    Sean,

Thank-you. I will rework the sizing, and I think it is from resizing. I have a very long way to go to learn all about photography, and how to us PS sc4. So I will keep posting, and can't what to hear the answers.

Hi Michelle Glad you were able to upload !!! The first is the tough one !!!

Resizing wise there is a tutorial which explains all step by step. Also there is one on sharpening tutorial, good one.

Fully agree with Sean Find the image appealing and different. I enjoy the single flash hummer images, have their own appeal over the multiple flash set up. Looking forward to many more !!!

Lovely shot Michelle, exposure looks dead on. Really sharp and good details at 1/250s. Looking forward to more.

    Hi Michelle:

Great photo of a Hummingbird I have never seen, believe it's a native of Costa Rica, and areas in that vicinity?

Your capture of a BIF was excellent in all respects.

    Thanks for sharing

    Uncle Gus

BTW: Here's a fun redo

Thank-you to all, for such a warm welcome and all the comments. I will try to do the best I can and will always welcome your advice, good or telling me what's wrong. I'm really looking forward to learning all that I can. I will look at those tutorials, thanks for the information. Uncle Gus, (hoping you don't mind I call you that). I love the redo. He's not native to Costa Rica, he can be seen in Guatemala to Bolivia, E. Brazil, and Trinidad. I can't wait to post again.
