I like the way these little birds fluff up their feathers when it starts to get really cold . Backyard set up.

It must have been a very cold morning, fluffed up as the chickadee is. I like the light, exposure control, head angle and details and might give it more room.

Very nice capture with good detail. I'm curious if you used a fill flash on this?

Quite nice!! I like everything about this image except for one thing: the cut-off branch in LRC.

No fill flash was used. It was going to snow and the sun was very faint.

Nice composition of all things in this one Caroline... a little more room might be nice, but I like it as is.

I love the image design with the cones balancing the bird perfectly. So, so sharp and a perfect head angle. Lots of ways to get rid of the broken branch l-r-c.

Hi Artie, thanks for the critique. I have PS7 right now, what would be the best way to get rid of the branch and leave a clean edge?

Using a Quick Mask followed by the Eraser Tool at about 25% would do the trick nicely (if PS7 has QMs...)

Superb job on this one Caroline. Very good composition job and terrific sharpness. Love that soft and nice light and I agree about cloning out the mentioned broken branch
