I took this picture yesterday afternoon at Estero Lagoon. I was laying on the mud photographing shore birds when this pelican landed in the lagoon.

Great light, angle, serene mood and details. I might clone out the dark spots in the BG.

Lovely warm light and low angle. Comp and eye contact are great. Maybe a touch of CCW rotation needed?

    Hey Adams,

Gorgeous light and low angle which helps your subject stand out. However, I have to agree with Tony. This image needs some CCW rotation IMO.

    Take care!

Now we are talking and you can apply the same technique for your future images.

    Keep up the good work!

Very good job Adams. The low angle is fantastic and the light is very nice. Love the pose of the pelican and the eye contact. I agree about the dark spots. :-)

Excellent critiques and advice above and good work on the repost. Now this is a first: the head angle is good but the bird's eye looks funky as if it were cross-eyed or at least looking hard to its right...

It would seem that there is not much that you could do about this but you could re-shape the eye with a QM and Warp or you could borrow a more normal looking eye from a similar and bring it in with a QM.
