Panasonic DMC-FZ18 on Bilora Favorit tripod, Leica 35mm (210mm DSLR equivalent), ISO-100, F/3.6, 5 sec., spot metering +0.7 EC, RAW. Taken at very low light.
PP in Silkypix and Corel Photopaint. Made it monochrome, painted over and cloned out dust (only noticed my clock was very dusty after exposure!), painted over BG with black.
Ok, this was not taken on New Year's Eve, but today (and I moved the dials). Nonetheless, I wish you all the best for the new year!

Hi Jerry,
I like the originality...this is what we need in today's society...we need to slow down a bit and enjoy the world around us...well composed and executed...good show...
Hi people, thanks for the compliments! I have to admit that I was actually aiming for a complete blur on the seconds hand, but ended up with this exact count of the exposure time in shades of the hand. Note that the clock is actually shaped like Dali's melting clocks (well observed mr. Forns!), it's not created this way in PP. Only nit of self criticism is that I cut of some of the numbers at the bottom of the frame.
