    I found this Tri Color on Black point drive the other day just as the sun was rising. I really like the light just wish there was a little more separation between the beak and BG.

    40D, 500 f/4+1.4 TC, 1/400 at 7.1, Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metered -1/3, ISO 800, Raw, Bean Bag on car window, Cropped and canvas added to the top of frame.

    Details and head angle look great. I agree, the BG is a bit dark.

    Yes the Bg is a bit dark but I like the result. The composition works fine for me and the heron is very well captured. Well done!
