    took this shot last summer,perched on this old barn,near to were I live,it was a nice summer day.thanks.cannon 40d,400mm prime lens,f5.6,1/5000 sec,iso 800,AI SERVO AF.HAND HELD.

    I like the lookback pose and details. Too bad you clipped the tail and steep angle. I would crop it as a vertical and tone down the highlights in the lower left.

    You made a 1/2 -way decent image with a good EXP for the bird and excellent sharpness in anm impossible situation. With an angle that steep, the rocks blocking part of the bird, and the white rocks l-l-c you had zero chance of making a good or great image. The head angle is spot-on.

    I like the eye contact, and lovely feather detail shown. I agree with the hot rock, but still well captured.
