    40D, 400DO, f5, 1/80s, ISO 1600, + 1/3 EC, monopod mount. Removed mullein stalk from across chest, tiny crop.

    Pose it did !!! Love the raised foot and direct look btw great set up .. the DO lens with a crop factor camera sure makes a killer combination !!!

    Perfect focus and DOF! Love the pose...it really adds a lot of interest to the image! I personally would probably trim a small bit off the left side but I think that's personal preference.

    Love this one Steve. The pose and the lifted foot as well as the expression on it's face puts it over the top for me. Thanks for sharing.

    I like the pose. I can imagine that the light levels were pretty low. You pulled it off at such a low shutter speed. I like watching your ISO 1600 images.

    Thanks to all for the comments and suggestions.
    Al, the DO (and some TCs) is a bit easier to carry up and down the hills than the 500mm.
    Sabyasachi, if I didn't try shooting with ISO 1600 I wouldn't get out to shoot much, especially here in the winter.
