    This pic was taken back in July while visiting Newfoundland. As you can see it was an overcast day, which is sometimes a blessing when dealing with this subject.
    Canon 30D, 1/400, f/11, ISO 400, 500m + 1.4x.

    Nice composition. I like the light a lot and the fourd birds in the diagonal line but not sure about the pose of the one in the lower left angle.

    Lovely shot, great exposure and colour. I reckon it would have been difficult to decide which one to focus on but I assume you went for the central bird. I doubt if time permitted but at that aperture I would have tried a few focal points, one perhaps being between the bottom right bird and centre bird in the hope of getting the hyperfocal point so that both would be sharp. I agree about the bottom left bird. Personally would make a pig's ear of it, but I am sure many could successfully clone it out.

    The overcast conditions have helped you nicely here, and the colours look well exposed. You could try and clone out the one in the BLC, as the grass looks a bit untidy there already.

    The soft light really helped here. I like the composition, just wish for wider DOF.

    Beautiful capture Rick. I love the composition and good exposure and detail. I felt like I was right there looking at this image. Well done and many thanks for sharing this with us. I love it !!!
