Phil: Thanks for the feedback on our recent Lost Lake image. Since it was dark when we slogged out into the mud and Jo was looking through the camera during sunrise, I don’t think she really knew where we were.

Jo: Once we finished shooting sunrise and I saw what we had to walk through to get back to shore, I did not know whether to push Phil into the mud or make him carry me on his back.

Phil: Once we finally made it back to shore we began exploring the area a little more and were able to compose this image of the mountain appearing to sit inside the entire lake. The possessing of the image has been a challenge since it is a four shot panorama and there is considerable contrast in the image. A larger version of the image is located on our website at http://www.ourphotographicjourneys.com/Fall Colorado eBook/Fall Colorado Photo Gallery/Gallery Panoramas.htm

The images were shot at 15mm, 1/10 second, f16, ISO100. We would appreciate your thoughts on improvements. Thanks Jo and Phil

    Hey Phil & Jo,
I am glad you provided the link to the larger version. It lost quite a bit of detail in this lower res form and I was going to comment on both shores. As always clouds would have helped drmatically....but considering you had none.....I really like the way you minimized the sky and created a very nice effect withthe bowl in the FG.....which the larger image shows off more vividly. The trees bookending the frame are the final finishing touches to a very nicely composed image.

Can't add to Roman's notes. This image is a joy, well framed and exposed. A winner!
