    Default High Key Barn Owl

This was taken while I was out with Fabs and Al while we were at the Flamingo area looking for Barn owls. Doesn't get much tougher tracking than this. I had seen them a few days earlier while the sun was still up....but this day.....the sun was already down. I cranked up the ISO to 3200....and let it rip. I have a few at ISO 6400 too.....but preferred the high key BG of this one.
Canon Mark 3 with the Sigma 300-800mm at 379mm at f5.6 for 1/500 sec all mounted on tripod w/wimberly head. About 75% full frame (should have zoomed).

Roman I like a lot the composition, wings pose and light but the image seems to have no details in the plumage. Not sure why, maybe due to noise reduction or uploading process (?)

    Hey Juan,
More than likely.....slow SS. I will re-visit the original and double check.

Good shot taken under difficult circumstances, sorry but the first thing I thought was a lack of detail

Great find and wing position. Another vote for more sharpening.

How fortunate you were Roman to see these beauties. Love the flight pose and wing position . Many thanks for sharing.
