Female Hooded Merganser - S.W Florida

Hello Folks,

This one from few hours ago. Not happy with it because of the distraction in the BG and because I remove another female in front using Quick Mask (Thank you Robert) but this is a new species for my database and a good way to start 2009. The good news is that, I know where they are and I can try for something better.

I like the angle, light, details, wing flap and raised crest in this one.

Great wing position Maxis and looks pin sharp. I like everything about this one.

Not much to improve, if this were mine I might crop a little off the bottom to tighten the comp up but thats a personal preference.

Maxis I like the low angle, head crest, wing position, sharpness and the water drops on the breast. I have some female Hoodie images but nothing this good.

Stunning light, including the catch in the eye. Perfect timing to capture the wingspread, and love the droplets on the chest. I also think the overall colours in the BG are amazing. Congrats here Maxis.
