    Default Cape Buffalo with Oxpecker

We encountered this buffalo bull in the Sabi Sabi Game Reserve earlier this week. He was quite suspicious of us and and made it clear that we should keep our distance. The oxpecker was quite unpreturbed and carried on with his business as usual.

Great portrait and the bird adds to it. I can imagine that you don't want a guy this size chasing you. :)

    Chris,
I agree with Axel. I would not be too happy to be chased by this bull.

Your image gives the impression of a massive bull. The big wound (the white portion in its body on the left, I guess it is a wound) attracts attention, but I think it impart further character to the bull along with the cuts in the ears. The oxpecker adds to the image.

    Cheers,

Love the face! I agree that the wound/scar is a little distracting but then it does add to the character of the environment. You could try to selectively tone it down just a notch or so. I'd also suggest trying to further blur the BG to give it a more diffuse look. That face and bird...they make for a great image!

Wonderful image Chris and the bird really makes it a winner. I tried many times to capture this image but was not successful. Many thanks for sharing.

Oh well done here Chris! I lovely the detail that you could get in the buff's eyes and ox-pecker a definite bonus.
