    As I head out the door to chase some Rio-Grande Valley species I need for my files, I thought I would post this South Texas Gem from my first outing with a digital camera back in 04.
    This was shot during a drizzle.

    Beautiful bird and great setting. I like the soft light and pose. I'd love to see this species sometime.

    Wow...this shot certainly sings. Love the framing of the veg and berries around the bird.

    Lovely pose, perch , BG and colours. I would be tempted to clean up the small sticking up from the back and the bright reflections on the leaves.

    Lovely pose, and I like the colours in. Great to see him perched amongst the foliage. Well captured Alan.

    What a beautiful shot Alan! Love the species, pose, headturn and of course which is almost becomming cliche with your pictures the lovely colourful perch....
    I am sure that you gave this a lot of thought but I would be interested in seeing this with a little less space on the left, certainly not a nit but just being curious. Congrats on a great shot!
