I took this picture a few days ago, hoping I could get by with less post processing than I usually need to do. Well, except for sharpening, this is presented as it came out of the camera -- no crop, etc. Unfortunately, I see hot spots on the shoulder and on the head. How did I do otherwise? What PP would you suggest?
Real good Wendell I think this is the idea Getting close to what you want in camera, best to leave out heroics !!
Might have given a little more room in camera and love that raised foot. A tweak you might want to do in PS and it useful for many is working on the eye. Select lighten the yellow and darken the pupil makes a difference. .... elegant it is !!!
Hi Wendell,
I like the capture, and the water looks great...capture angle is a wee bit on the steep side..you do have good details on the whites...good advise given by Mr. Forns...
You have a good "eye" for angle, Gus. I was standing perhaps 10 feet above my subject, but, unfortunately, that could not have been avoided in this instance. And, in fact, in the Wetland area where I photograph water birds most frequently the paths are routinely elevated above the water level, with little chance to get a lower angle.
