    This SHC with only one foot taken @ Bosque. He looks pretty healthy! :D I like the way his wing lines up with the mountain in the BG.

    Canon 40D, Canon 400DO, F5.6, 1/1600, ISO 400, tripod, almost full frame.

    Nicely done Marina...I like the composition , image and capture...you display sharp details and good color rendition , you have a good head angle and good sharp eye contact, I like the raised wing position...good show...:eek:

    The kind of problem you've shown isn't that rare, as indicated by the attached image of a sandhill crane photographed recently near Sarasota, Florida. But for this bird, the loss of a foot wasn't much of a disability; he moved about with the other cranes without any difficulty. Luckily, he had no need to perch!
