I'm not a bird photographer by anyone's standard, but while shooting the Nubble Lighthouse at sunset I got a shot of these gulls (not sure what type) after they were riled up by a couple tossing bread. I'd love some honest critique! View the full size at my flickr page.
Welcome, Conor. Gulls are great subjects as they can offer a lot of opportunities. The poses are nice - especially the nearest with with a slight head turn to achieve eye contact. The light direction is hurting he image as most of the birds are in shadow - fill flash would have been a good option and you were close enough for it to be very effective. Shadow/Highlight may help retrieve some shadow detail. I would be tempted to clone out the small bird lower right, the one in the V of the main bird's wings and the one that is sticking out of it's wing, and possibly the overlapping one behind the bird top right. Posting technical details re camera, lens, exposure info etc is helpful to maximise constructive feedback and suggestions. Look forward to more of your photos.

Thanks for the advice - I was debating cloning the dent in the wing, but I do like the bird in the lower left and the way that as the eye begins to leave to photo it is drawn back in by following this bird's path.
