Another image from the other night at Wako. The very reason I first sorted this image for the trash bin made me look again at actual delete time. It was about 15 minutes before sunset with that gorgeous golden light. The problem was the male with the branch was in the long shadow of the gazebo I was standing in. The female however was fully lit by the late light. But then, I kinda liked the effect; putting greater emphasis and drawing your eye mainly to her reaction. I even like that the foreground shrubbery (another reason i was going to delete) is in the shadow but you can still see the bristling of those beautiful neck plums due to emphasis of light. I considered cropping in front of the males legs but that would have cut the offering (branch). Am I over rationalizing to save this one?
