    Default Grey Heron with snow

    Attached Images Attached Images

We have cold days at the moment and I spent some hours with two Grey Herons in the snow.
I think the Head angle could be a bit better, but I really like the raised foot topped with snow.

All Critique & Comments really welcome (and I try to be tough and strong... ;))
    Best wishes, Rosl

Nice image but not as good as the self-critique.... EXP perfect and snow deep!

This makes me feel cold! Brrr! While the head angle isn't perfect, you have great eye contact and that snow on the feet and leg really makes this image for me!

Snow, pose and exposure are great. The head angle might not be ideal but I like it as is.

Stands out beautifully from the BG and you have nailed the exposure to give superb feather detail. Raised foot and snow really is the icing on the cake.

Nicely done. Love the bright , sharp eye and the snow on the raised foot. It is a treat for me to see this bird in winter conditions.

Looka like a Heron would if it were here in Maine. I have never seen one like this, in snow. You get a winner from me on that account alone. Raised foot is a plus. I really like the plummage on the back and the front. The strand like feathers are a nice bonus.

This is amazingly sharp, and showing outstanding feather detail. Yep, the raized foot full of snow rounds this off very nicely. Congrats on a superb image.
