    Default Bald Eagles

Has anyone heard about eagles counts along the Mississippi around and of the locks and dams?

There are several near Alton, IL on both sides of the river. I'm not sure where Westmont is, but we saw about 15, more immature than mature, along IL Rt3 and 100 near Grafton and Alton. We haven't made it up to Winfield yet, we saw about 30 sitting on the ice above the lock and dam last year.

Lock and Dam 14 has been great for eagles. It is more of an afternoon spot otherwise you are looking into the sun.
