Here's a common pose of a Roseate Spoonbill from this weekend against a nice dark BG. I'd have preferred the all green BG (and may create that later), but this isn't bad. This was at Ding Darling.
Canon 50D, 600mm f/4L, ISO 200, -1/3 EV, AV Mode, 1/2000, tripod flat at ground level. This is nearly full frame.
Love these birds! I wish I can work with them in the near future, but here in Argentina, they are not tame, not even a little haaha.. Love the light, pose, BG, colors and detail! Congratualitons!
