This is the same guy I posted yesterday. Your criticism of that post was about white balance and a suggestion to clone out a large limb. I've tried to correct those two things with a different picture of the same feller taken at the same time under the same circumstances. Did I succeed? Is the white balance OK? And now I also welcome other criticism. This one seems a bit dark to me? If you agree, how could I make the the image "pop" more?

i think you nailed the white balance. a boost in the mids and darks would definitely make it pop more. too bad about the eye contact. pretty cool wing pose though!

Hi Gus . . . I'd love to get on a level with that rascal, but he regularly sits mighty high on the top limbs of tall (dead) trees, surveying the surrounding meadows, etc., in search of prey. I'll keep looking and hope I can catch him on a lower perch.

Hi Wendell Excellent pose Congrats !!

Exposure wise I think you could have gone over one stop, remember you are photographing the shaded side of the bird. With bright sun it could be a problem with highlights up top. btw if you choose to use shadow/highlight do select the sky inverse and contract so there will be no halos !!!
