I photographed this image handheld at the Columbia Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina. I wish I had either upped the ISO or had a tripod, but all in all, not too bad for HH. I just loved the face.... ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/4 sec, EF70-300 f/4-5.6, 115mm, Pattern Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. Comment Welcome

    Mr. Waas,
    I like the capture,
suggestions: I would go for a super tight crop to focus strictly on the face. I would open up the blacks around the face and eyes to bring out more details, and selective sharpen the eyes a bit more...good show...

And mesmerizing Richard. A tighter crop would really put the emphasis on the eyes. I wonder if a bit more colour/contrast in the eyes would add anything. Nice photo. Dave

Thanks for the comments. I did open up the blacks and saturated the eyes a bit more. I couldn't figure out a crop I liked. Feel free to give it a try if you'd like.

Ah Richard, do agree with Al and Gus about going even more tighter. Very good details and composition.
